2005以身观身——中国行为艺术文献展《麻》

《麻》作品特制了一张奇异的麻将桌,桌分三层,如枷锁一般套牢了身陷其中的四个男子;男子在上层可饮食,于中层搓麻将自娱,而露在下面的光脚也不甘寂寞,能不时享用足底按摩的乐趣。作品充满形而下的世俗快乐,而快乐是不是也是一种麻醉呢?

Mah-jong
This is a special mah-jong table. The table has 3 layers. Four men are confined to it. In the first layer they eat and drink, in the second layer they play mah-jong and enjoy themselves, even their bare feet in the third layer enjoy the pleasure from massage. This piece of arts is filled with worldly happiness. And this worldly happiness is a kind of anaesthesia, isn’t it?
