 Artists: A group of artists with Ph.D. Degree from Fine Art College in Tsinghua University, Central Academy of Fine Arts, China Arts Research Institute etc.

艺术创造的深度取决于人文精神的积淀、文化意义的承载与文化价值的指向。对于学院背景的艺术研究者和实践者来讲更是如此，这是我们所看重的作为知识分子画家的一种特质。由于现代知识的形成不仅基于本民族文化知识与经验的积累，也受到外来文化的影响；既有对历史传统精华的博采，也有对未来知识的探索。它多元包容，将创造引领到一个更有价值与意义的方向，这是作为新知识分子艺术家所需要具有的基本属性。

“天工开悟”作为成立于2008年的艺术组织与学术团体，由具有高层次学院教育背景的艺术家、设计师和理论家组成，本着人文、艺术、科学的理念，举办学术研讨、艺术创作与展览等活动。此次展览汇集了来自清华大学美术学院、中央美术学院、中国艺术研究院等艺术高校与专业机构的博士艺术家的艺术作品，共同呈现出新知识分子艺术家这一主题精神。

 Fine art creative works always keep close connect with the accumulation of culture and spirit, which also can’t be departed from the value of signification. It is more important to those researchers and artists among fine art fields, and it has been a characteristic to those who as new intellectual artists. Owing to new knowledge is based not only on the native culture, but also on the various foreign cultures influence and impact, it has absorbed historic and traditional elite to explore new knowledge of future. Multiform, confluent and creative are necessary attribute in new intellectual artists, who would lead a new and more promising direction.

 As a scholar group of fine art and design, From nature to mind is initiated in 2008, which also consisted of many artistes, designers and theorists from different higher academies. Around the topic of culture, science and art, they hold a few of professional exhibitions and proseminars on the thinking of communicating with each other and to the public. Art works from the artists with Ph.D. Degree from Fine Art College in Tsinghua University, Central Academy of Fine Arts, China Arts Research Institute etc. , will be shown in this excibition.
