执着与坚守 责任与抱负—顾伟玺的艺术探索与实践

    21世纪以来，中国在政治经济文化诸领域，取得了令世界瞩目的重大成就。在中华民族崛起的伟大时代，文化的创新、发展，传承与创造，是中华民族伟大复兴的重要保证和思想基础，更是国家实力和塑造国家形象的重要内容。

    在作为文化重要载体的绘画艺术形式中，中国画是中华民族绘画艺术发展传承的核心内容。这一枝独秀于世界民族文化艺术之林的艺术形式，既有令举世推崇的绘画史的巨大成就，又有新中国以来大批优秀艺术人才的探索创造所铸就的新的辉煌。

    顾伟玺教授正是在中国画领域默默奋斗，探索、实践、创造并取得重要成就的中国画家。而他的艺术求索奋斗之路，更有着鲜明的个性特点。

    首先，他历经学院教育的系统研究和学习，出版了多本专著，发表撰写了近百篇学术研究论文，这一长期的对于理论和绘画史学的研究思考，使他对中国绘画既有纵向绘画史迁变发展的仔细辨析和梳理，又有中西绘画相互观照的横向的比较分析和理性的判断。这一长期的研究思考过程使伟玺更加执着于民族优秀绘画传统的研究和传承。正因如此，伟玺虽已年届五十仍能从容不迫地“以传统的矩度”锤炼、熔铸自己的绘画风格，从不以新异的图式哗众取宠。

    伟玺即将出版画册及举办个人画展的部分作品，既是他近期艺术探索实践的新作品，同时也是中国画当代探索的重要内容和可贵成果。

    其次，伟玺长期在高校从事行政管理与教学工作，使他的艺术追求又多了一份责任与自觉。他认为“今天的艺术教育决定了中国艺术的未来”，他对当下艺术教育，特别是中国画教学的思考、实践、研究，取得了一定的成果，撰写了很多相关研究报告和学术论文，其中不乏真知灼见。这既体现他于艺术教育教学中的担当，更反映了他对当代艺术教育的深入思考和清醒的认知。

    伟玺力倡外师造化，足迹遍历名山胜境，又因工作所需任职教学于北京、上海、南宁、南京诸地，流转浸染于京派、海派、金陵画派和漓江画派。这种大范围跨地域的文化历练和思考，必然丰厚他的学术，锤炼他的性格，积淀他的厚度，使其艺术创作及其成果，具有了鲜明的个性特点。

    伟玺的中国画作品从整体上看，追求生拙朴厚的意趣，于雄肆中求雅逸，着力营建中国画气韵兼胜的境界。他近期的创作，主要以黄山、太行山、云台山、西双版纳等名山佳境的写生为主线，显现其由传统的传承，进而锤炼、熔铸自我风格特质的特殊过程。就山水而言，伟玺以生拙的线条，营建苍莽浑濛、生机蓬勃的艺术境界，体现出由用笔用墨的金石气所彰显的精神性。伟玺的花鸟画则着意于中国画的写意精神，于恣肆的挥洒中，营建节奏与韵律，构建中国画气韵兼胜的玄妙境界。

    伟玺于书法篆刻的长期研究锤炼，以及理论研究的探索思考，他于山水、花鸟、人物兼擅的宽阔的创作路径和广阔的艺术视野，必将使他不断攀越新高度，实现他的人生理想，成就他的艺术事业。

    Wu Changjiang

    Since the 21 century, China has achieved remarkable accomplishments in the fields of politics, economy, and culture and so on. At the grand era of suddenly appearing on the horizon, the People of China inherit and create the cultural innovation, development, which is the significant guarantee and ideological basis for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and even the important content of a country’s capability and forging the national image. 

    The painting art form, as an important carrier for the culture, is the core content to develop and inherit for the painting art of the Chinese nation. This form of art is unique in the forest of cultural art in the world, which possesses the tremendous achievements praised highly by the world, and large quantities of artistic talents to explore and create new glories since the new China. 

    This paper introduces Professor Gu Weixi, is a Chinese painter, who is silently struggling, exploring, practicing and creating significant accomplishments in the field of Chinese painting. However, his search and striving on his way to art show us a distinct individual characteristic. 

Firstly, he has researched and studied in academy education, published several monographs, and released about hundreds of academic research papers, such a long research and thought on theoretical and painting history, which make him to have the careful analyses and managements with a lengthways development of painting history, and even have the comparative analyses and rational estimations with a transverse observations between the Chinese and Western painting. Such a long research and thoughts make Gu Weixi more persistence in the research and inheriting of the excellent traditional paintings of the Chinese People. That is why Gu Weixi can temper and cast his own painting style with “the traditional degree” by easy stages although he is 50 years old, and never try to please the public with claptrap via a novel pattern. 

    Weixi is going to publish the albums of paintings and hold the individual paintings exhibition via some works, which not only are his new works of art exploring and practicing recently, but also the significant contents and valuable results for the development of the Chinese paintings. 

    On the other hand, Weixi has engaged in public administration and teaching job in the colleges for a long term, which bring another sense of responsibility and conscientiousness while pursuing arts. He deems that, “the current art education decides the future of Chinese art”, in the nowadays art education, especially the thought, practice, research on the Chinese painting education, he obtains a certain result, writes lots of relevant research report and academic papers, penetrating judgment hereinto, which embody his responsibility in the teaching of art education, and more reflect his deep thoughts and clear awareness on the current art education. 

    Weixi advocates to learn from outside, and go thought famous mountains and great sceneries, due to the teaching in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanning, Nanjing and other places, he travels through the school of Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and Lijiang River. Such large-scale districts’ cultural refining and thought result in enriching his academic knowledge, tempering his characters, depositing his thickness, and bring obvious individual features to his artistic innovation and achievements. 

Overall, Weixi’s Chinese paintings pursue the simple and unadorned interest and charm and pursue elegance and free at random, and he tries his best to build the realm of Chinese artistic conception. In his recent creation recently, the main painting line is the well-known mountains such as Mount Huangshan, Tai-hang Mountains, Yuntai Mountain, Xishuangbanna and so on, which show the inheriting tradition, and the special process of tempering and casting self style and feature. With regard to mountains and waters, Weixi builds the boundless but vigorous artistic states via the simple lines, which embody the spirits via his ink brush. The followers and birds mean the comfortable spirit of Chinese paintings; he can control the rhythm and construct the mysterious realm of Chinese paintings with random creation. 

    Weixi has researched and studied the calligraphy and seal cutting for a long time, and engaged in the exploration and deliberation on the theoretical researches, his wide creative path and extensive artistic view on mountains and waters, flowers and birds, and figures will certainly help him to climb a new top, and make his worldly ideal come true and achieve his art career.
